English Lavender Field Bundles - Bulk Box
Our favorites of our dried lavender is the vibrant and dark varieties of the English Lavenders. English Lavender, also called 'Lavender angustifolia' or 'True Lavender', generally grows on a shorter stem with smaller buds that retains it's beautiful color when dried. These cultivars contain less camphor than the hybrid lavenders making them ideal for culinary and craft use as well as creating premium essential oils.
What is English Lavender Used For?
- English lavender is primarily used for cooking, baking and culinary use. It contains less bitterness than French or other hybrid cultivars and is used in many recipes for food and beverages. Different Lavender Cultivars vary in taste and are used in both savory and sweet recipes.
- Many florists and crafters love using English Lavender due to it's velvety vibrant and dark colors. English Lavender is great for crafts, wreaths, and home decor.
- English Lavender is used for essential oil production. It has a smooth scent with very low camphor and contains the highest levels of compounds for aromatherapy.
What is the difference between Field Bundles and Bouquet Bundles?
Bouquet Bundles are sorted, trimmed and arranged. Stems that are bent or imperfect are discarded. Bouquet ends are trimmed with floral cutters and stems may be stripped of unnecessary leaves and bilateral stems. Field Bundles are simply cut, banded and dried allowing for a more cost effective way to purchase.
