Lavender Distillation Demonstration

Spend a day on the lavender farm with us! Take part in the lavender distillation process from harvest to distillation - then take home your own lavender essential oil and bottle of hydrosol!

Geared towards lavender farmers, essential oil hobbyists or anyone looking to experience an immersive day on the lavender farm!

Join us for an informative and engaging lavender distillation demonstration where you will:

• Learn the optimal stage for harvesting lavender to create essential oils.

• Participate in the distillation process.

• Take home your own bottle of lavender essential oil and hydrosol from the distillation we have done together.

• Harvest your own fresh bundle of lavender to keep.

• Distill using both our copper water-sealing alembic still and a column still.

Distillation Education:

-Trained with Meesha Munyan, legendary distiller in the lavender field. Meesha traveled around the world training and educating in lavender distillation for many decades, previous international essential oil judge and international award winning natural perfumist. Absolutely valued the many weekends with with Meesha learning her craft!

-Caryn Gehlmann, clinical aromatherapist and previous owner and distiller of her own lavender farm and current owner of essential3.

-Sommelier Workshop with Meesha Munyan and Sarah Richards, well known leaders in Lavender Industry and education.

-Dr. Michael Lemmers lavender northwest distillation workshops. Michael is founding member of Lavender Northwest, Ravencroft Lavender, and offers independent lavender evaluations and chemical testing.

-Aromatic Chemistry (Tisserand Institute with Dr Joy Bowles)

-Previous Education: Bachelors in Science from PSU, CNMT in Nuclear Medicine from OHSU.

Special Note:

This is a hands-on event. Please wear comfortable clothes, closed-toed shoes, hat and sun protection, and gardening gloves.
