The Beauty of Lavender Fields

Lavender fields are famous for their stunning rows of purple flowers, which stretch endlessly in every direction. The vibrant hues of the lavender plants contrast beautifully with the green foliage, creating a picturesque landscape. During the blooming season, the sight is even more breathtaking, with bees buzzing around, collecting nectar, and the gentle hum of nature surrounding you.

Visiting farms in the the Pacific Northwest

Here in the Pacific Northwest, we are home to some of the most beautiful and productive lavender farms in the world. Visitors can typically see blooms from May through July and even August, but it's recommended to contact individual farms before visiting, as microclimates can influence bloom times. At our farm, the lavender typically blooms 1-2 weeks earlier than other nearby farms! Also, some farms are only open by appointment or for specific events.

Great resources for finding lavender farms open for agri-tourism in the Pacific Northwest or Oregon can be find through organizations such as Lavender Northwest, our cooperative farm organization that showcases many premier lavender farms in the Pacific Northwest. Other resources include Mt. Hood Territory, Oregon Farm Loops and Travel Oregon.

A visit to a lavender field can be a serene and refreshing experience! Whether it’s the captivating scenery, the soothing scents, or the variety of activities and products available, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
