The Farm in June: What Lavender Season Looks and Smells Like

Lavender Field at Sunrise

There’s a moment, right around the middle of June, when you drive up through the lavender fields. The scent reaches you before anything else. Before you see the color, the rows, before you hear the bees. The lavender finds you first. It’s warm and fragrant and the aroma hangs in the air and it’ll stop you in your tracks every single time.

June is peak season here and the fields are something else right now. Row after row of deep purple, blue and even some whites and pinks stretch out in the summer heat, swaying just slightly in the breeze. The pollinators know it, the constant hum, a low, busy sound that makes the whole farm feel alive.

Hand Harvested

We believe quality comes from careful, selective harvest. That’s why we harvest our lavender by hand, selecting only the best blooms. Some of our plants look like they are only half-harvested. That's because we harvest the straight middle stems for our dried bouquets, leaving the side stems to bloom further for distillation. Harvesting at seperate times allows the blooms to further develop their essential oil content.

Small Batch

Our small-batch approach means we focus on quality over quantity. Each batch of essential oil that we distill and every product we make here on our farm is crafted with care, preserving the natural qualities of the lavender.

What’s Available This Season:

This season we’re offering a beautiful lineup of lavender products, all grown and harvested right here on the farm:

Fresh bundles — Cut at peak bloom and ready to display, dry, use for crafting, or even hanging in a shower for you or guests.

Dried lavender — Ready to use in sachets, arrangements, cooking, or simply to have on hand.

Essential oil — Steam-distilled in small batches for a clean, true and pure lavender scent.

Hydrosol — The floral water that comes from distillation - a favorite for linen spray, skin care, and everyday use.
